Nest Checklist for Alien Invasyndrome
Tick nest-session goals before you greed Security.
This Nest Checklist is a session tracker for Alien Invasyndrome Demo on Atlas (Steam 4603980). Use it when you are establishing or re-establishing a nest loop as an alien larva. Tick items only when the behavior is repeatable, not when you touched a prompt once under panic.
18+ adult stealth-action; this page stays mechanical. Developer Mozu Field / 百舌鳥; publisher Shady Corner Games. Full release TBA.
What “nest ready” means in the Demo
A nest is ready when you can:
- Reach the site without a coin-flip detect.
- Complete or abort the interaction on purpose.
- Return to a safe Middle commute without inventing a new route every death.
- Softlock under a desk if spotted nearby, then leave cover cleanly.
If any of those fail, keep the checklist open and stop buying vanity skills. Pair this tool with How to Nest and spend intent on Skill Planner.
Why a checklist beats memory
Demo sessions fragment after detects. Players remember the nest prompt and forget Kitchen scout discipline, Clinic desk exits, or Security route choice. The widget below forces those goals into the same session card. Reset between runs so yesterday’s ticks do not lie to you.
Nest Checklist widget
Check items as you complete them in one continuous Demo attempt. The done counter updates live. Reset checklist when you die with a ruined room state or start a fresh practice block.
How to use each checkbox
Found a usable nest site
Usable means cover on approach and exit, not merely an available interact. Prefer Middle logistics while learning. See Atlas Overview and Decks.
Mapped nest commute
Walk the return path once without nesting. Note Cafeteria open floor and Kitchen islands. If the commute is a detection tax, redesign before spending Nest points.
First softlock practice
Enter desk cover in Clinic or a furniture-heavy tile, wait a short window, exit cleanly. If camera or input sticks, stop and read Softlock Fixes. Softlocks are a stealth tool, not a soft-fail prison.
Kitchen / Clinic scouts
Scout means one quiet peek cycle: enter, hold, leave, no greed nest. Kitchen teaches short loops; Clinic teaches furniture exits. Lab or Cafeteria peeks come after those two feel boring. Room notes: Key Rooms, Kitchen Route.
Spend Stealth and Nest points
Tick these only after a deliberate spend logged in the Skill Planner. Random leftover points do not count. Early build order: Early Build.
Security prep
Choose route A or B before the door. Do not tick this during an improvised mash. Read Security Room and Security Routes.
Survived one full detection hide window
Get spotted on purpose in a safe practice room, then hide for ~1 minute using Detection Timer. Leaving early to “save time” teaches the wrong reflex.
Suggested session order
- Controls comfort: Controls Hub, Stealth Actions.
- Stealth theory: Stealth and Detection.
- Tick nest site + commute + softlock practice.
- Kitchen scout, then Clinic scout.
- Spend Stealth/Nest via planner.
- Lab/Cafeteria peek if Middle is stable.
- Security A/B choice; abort scout once.
- Timer hide drill if any spot occurred.
Failure modes the checklist exposes
| Symptom | Checklist gap | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Nest prompt in open seating | Site / commute | Redesign site |
| Stuck under Clinic desk | Softlock practice | Softlock Fixes page |
| Detect spiral after Kitchen | Kitchen scout | Shorter peeks + timer |
| Skill points feel useless | Stealth/Nest spends | Planner + Early Build |
| Security door panic | Security prep | Pick A or B once |
Nesting and INT / STR
Nest progress often unlocks charge-style tools later than players expect. Do not plan checklist completion as if every tool is live at minute zero. INT-leaning setup helps quiet nest cycles; STR does not delete alert pressure. Tree context: Skill Tree, Evolution Paths.

Keep the checklist honest. A ticked box you cannot repeat on the next life is a lie—untick it and drill again.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common Alien Invasyndrome questions.
What is the Nest Checklist for?
Tracking one Atlas nest session: site, commute, softlock practice, room scouts, skill spends, and Security prep.
When should I reset the checklist?
Reset between Demo runs or after a ruined room state so old ticks do not hide fresh failures.
Do I need Kitchen and Clinic scouts before nesting?
Yes for learning. Quiet peek cycles teach loops and desk exits before you bank nest progress in riskier rooms.
How does this link to the Skill Planner?
Tick Stealth/Nest spends only after a deliberate planner mix, not after random leftover points.
Where is the full nesting guide?
Use How to Nest for systems and routes; keep this checklist open as the session tracker.
